Job summary

Beacon Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is actively hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) in PreOp PACU to support perioperative care across the patient continuum. The role emphasizes preoperative assessment, monitoring, and collaboration with anesthesia teams to ensure safe recoveries.

Candidates should have an accredited nursing degree, at least one year in PreOp or PACU, current state RN license, and BLS/ACLS/PALS as applicable. Competitive hourly compensation is offered with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Current state licensure to practice.
• BLS/BCLS within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS within 90 days of employment.
• PALS required when pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status per policies.
• Interpret information from monitors.
• Describe pathophysiology of diseases and anesthesia physiology.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Implement plan of care including recovery from anesthesia and patient transfers.
• Provide hand-off reports and patient education.
