Endoscopy Center of Bergen County is hiring a per diem PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide continuity and high-quality care for patients before and after procedures. The role may involve assisting physicians, managing anesthesia recovery, and ensuring safety and comfort from entry to discharge.

Qualifications include RN license in the state, BLS/ACLS (PALS if required), and 2 years PACU/ICU experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, safety, comfort and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as appropriate.
• Provide post-anesthesia care: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for discharge prep.

PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) at Endoscopy Center of Bergen County

The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications

PRN Requirement: 6-8 shifts per month

Pay Range: $48.00 -$50.00/hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
