Endoscopy Center of Bergen County is seeking a Per Diem PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our ambulatory surgery team. The role focuses on patient safety, comfort, and privacy before and after anesthesia, and supports physicians in the procedure rooms as needed.

Ideal candidates will have an accredited RN degree, an active RN license in NJ, BLS and ACLS, and 2 years PACU/critical care experience preferred. Per diem shifts total 6–8 per month.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, ensuring safety, comfort and privacy before discharge.
• Assist physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as deemed appropriate.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patient and family in preparation for discharge.

PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) at Endoscopy Center of Bergen County

The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state

• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written

PRN Requirement: 6-8 shifts per month

Pay Range: $48.00 -$50.00/hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
