Job summary

United Surgical Partners International's Kips Bay Endoscopy Center in New York is hiring a per diem PreOp/PACU RN to support perioperative care. The role provides continuity and quality nursing care, monitoring patients through anesthesia recovery, and assisting surgeons as needed.

The position emphasizes patient safety, comfort, and privacy with strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and the ability to prioritize competing needs in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PreOp, PACU, Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients.
• Assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (PreOp/PACU RN) at Kips Bay Endoscopy Center
The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications

Pay Range: $45.00/hr - $55.00/hr (Wages are determined based upon an individual's qualifications and experience.)
