Endoscopy Center of Bergen County is hiring a per diem PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse at our Paramus, NJ facility. The RN provides continuity and quality nursing care, assesses patient condition, and ensures safety, comfort and privacy before discharge.

The role may assist physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile techniques, focusing on care for patients emerging from general anesthesia or sedation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by center.
• 2 years PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care with continual evaluation of patient condition.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort and privacy from admission to discharge.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with sedation and sterile techniques as needed.
• Deliver total care to patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation, including assessment and planning.
• Coordinate care and communicate clearly with patients and families.

PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) at Endoscopy Center of Bergen County

The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written

PRN Requirement: 6-8 shifts per month

Pay Range: $48.00 -$50.00/hr(Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
