Job summary

Suburban Endoscopy Center is seeking a per diem PreOp/PACU RN in New Jersey. The RN provides continuous nursing care, supports patient safety, and assists physicians during procedures. Responsibilities include sedation support, sterile technique, and comprehensive care from anesthesia emergence through discharge.

Qualifications include RN licensure in NJ, BLS/ACLS (PALS if required), and 2 years of PACU or critical care experience preferred. Per diem position with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited RN program.
  • Active RN license in New Jersey.
  • BLS and ACLS are required; PALS if required by the center.
  • 2 years' PACU or critical care experience preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload.

Responsibilities

  • Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times; assist physicians in procedure rooms.
  • Perform conscious sedation as needed and maintain sterile technique.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care from anesthesia emergence to discharge.

PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse at Suburban Endoscopy Center

The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
  • Active RN license in the state
  • BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
  • 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
  • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
  • Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
Pay Rat: $48.00/hr - $51.00/hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
