Job summary

EyeCare Partners in Walker, MI is seeking an Optician to dispense and fit glasses and contacts, guided by ophthalmologists and optometrists. You will help patients choose frames, take measurements, and ensure accurate prescriptions while delivering a world-class Total Patient Experience.

You will operate the lensometers, educate patients on lenses and coatings, and maintain organized, fully stocked areas. The role requires a high school diploma and HIPAA compliance, with ABO/ABOC/NCLE preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year in a customer interactive position or equivalent.
• ABO/ABOC and NCLE certifications preferred or obtained within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Embrace the Total Patient Experience and build relationships with patients.
• Determine needs and sell frames to exceed expectations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames by style, color and measurements.
• Operate the auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate on lenses, coatings and frames for patient needs.
• Accurately collect bridge, eye size, temple length, seg heights and PD.
• Dispense glasses and contact lens orders in the system.
• Maintain organized, fully stocked, clean work and display areas.
• Follow all policies and assist with general office duties as needed.
