Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Optician in Grandville, MI to dispense and fit glasses and contacts from prescriptions written by optometrists and ophthalmologists. The role focuses on maximizing the Total Patient Experience while enabling retail sales and meeting patients' medical needs.

The position requires communicating effectively, reading insurance forms, and maintaining precise measurements and lens/frame selections.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year in a customer-facing position or equivalent.
• Current ABO/ABOC and NCLE certifications (or obtained within first 2 years of employment) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Embrace our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with patients while delivering medical support.
• Determine patients' needs and assist in selecting frames
• Assist patients with frame selection by style, color, and measurements
• Operate the auto-lensometer and manual lensometer
• Educate on lenses, coatings, and frames to meet patient needs
• Collect measurements (bridge, eye size, temple length, seg heights, vertex distance, PD, pantoscopic tilt)
• Dispense orders and repair/adjust frames
• Dispense glasses and contacts in E360
• Follow policies and maintain organized, stocked areas
• Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with other office duties as needed
