Job summary

The Space Needle in Seattle, WA seeks a dedicated server to provide exceptional food and beverage service and to create memorable guest experiences. You will master Space Needle offerings, maintain high service standards, and support teammates throughout shifts.

Required are at least three years of high-volume dining experience, strong grooming and communication, and valid WA alcohol and food handler permits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of food serving experience in a high-volume, full-service environment.
• Extensive knowledge of food and beverage including wine pairing and suggestive selling techniques.
• Excellent grooming and communication skills; ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Must hold a valid Washington State Class 12 or Class 13 Alcohol Service Permit, and a WA Food Handler’s Permit.
• Ability to work well in a team-based environment and maintain a professional demeanor.
• Walking, standing, reaching, and lifting 30–50 lbs for the full shift.

Responsibilities

• Follow Steps of Service and Timing Guidelines with a courteous attitude.
• Exhibit complete knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
• Adhere to Engaging, Merchandising, Excellence & Proficiency, and Teamwork standards.
• Complete all required setup before opening under management direction.
• Ensure food/beverages are served at proper temperatures with correct presentation.
• Maintain guest satisfaction throughout dining experience.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and assist teammates as needed.
• Deliver food and beverages to guests and assist team members as necessary.
• Provide service recovery for guest and coworker interactions.
• Complete closing duties as defined by management and clock out with supervisor.
