Job summary

Ethan Allen, America's #1 Premium Furniture Retailer, seeks a Design Consultant to collaborate with customers on personalized design solutions, space planning, fabric coordination and product selection. This role emphasizes relationship-based selling, social media presence and in-home consultations to drive sales and client satisfaction.

Design Consultants are compensated through a draw system with incentives based on sales benchmarks.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a design-related field from an accredited institution, desirable.
• Broad knowledge of interior design and effective sales techniques.
• Working knowledge of online sales and design tools.

Responsibilities

• Create design solutions consistent with customer preferences and budget.
• Sell Ethan Allen’s products and services.
• Represent the Ethan Allen brand in all customer interactions; greet customers and arrange appointments and in-home consultations.
• Utilize grassroots marketing and social media to grow the business.
• Educate customers about the complimentary design service and available finance options.
• Coordinate with the team to provide exceptional service before and after the sale.
