Acker, America's oldest and leading fine wine auction house, seeks a Consignment Specialist in the New York area to source and manage consignors. You will evaluate wines, develop relationships, and support cataloging and sale settlements for consignments through auctions.

The role blends sales, wine knowledge, and precise data entry in the CRM, with occasional evenings and weekends during auction periods. Growth opportunities exist within a historic wine house.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of sales, account management, and/or business development experience.
• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; client-first approach.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM experience a plus.
• WSET or other wine education preferred.
• Available for extended hours and weekends during auction periods.
• Working knowledge of fine wine regions, producers, vintages.

Responsabilités

• Provide valuations of fine and rare wine based on auction results and market pricing.
• Evaluate consignments by producer, region, vintage, format, and condition.
• Input catalog data and lot notes accurately.
• Build market knowledge through direct exposure to collections.
• Serve as primary contact for consignors by phone and email.
• Generate new consignments through proactive outreach and follow-up.
• Document outreach and activity in the CRM.
• Maintain consignment inventory records and assist with sale settlements.
• Support live and online auction events; evenings/weekends may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.
