Job summary

Acker on the Upper West Side in New York is seeking a full-time Retail Wine Specialist to assist customers with wine and spirits selection, manage transactions, and deepen product knowledge. You will work closely with wine specialists and the auction team, gaining exposure to rare bottles and serious collectors.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of wine regions, producers, vintages; ability to advise clients confidently.
• Strong sales and customer service orientation in a retail setting.
• Ability to communicate clearly and build relationships with a discerning clientele.
• Willingness to participate in staff tastings and events.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting wine and spirits with informed recommendations.
• Ring up sales and arrange delivery or pickup of orders as needed.
• Host in-store tastings and events to engage guests and grow the wine club.]
• Maintain merchandising displays on the sales floor and keep knowledge current.
