Job summary

Bluestone Lane in Washington, DC seeks a Service Professional to set the tone in the cafe by delivering an exceptional hospitality experience. They educate guests about the premium Bluestone Lane menu, anticipate guests’ needs, and maintain friendly, engaging service across host, server, and barista roles.

You will promote our values, connect with guests, and work with the team to ensure fast, accurate orders, clean spaces, and a welcoming environment that invites repeat visits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience working in a full-service restaurant.
• Have a passion for providing great service & making others happy.
• A team player and enjoys working on a team to achieve great performance.
• Ability to work in a high demand, fast paced environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40lbs.
• DOH Accreditation and/or ServSafe Certified a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional hospitality experience and follow Bluestone Lane’s Steps of Service.
• Educate guests about the premium Bluestone Lane menu items and anticipate needs.
• Upsell and excite guests about rewards and loyalty.
• Service tables with focus on upselling food & beverage and ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain a clean, organized cafe and ensure equipment is clean and functional.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures and support team needs.
