Job summary

Bluestone Lane is seeking a Server for its café environment in Houston. The role focuses on providing an exceptional local experience, upselling menu items and educating guests about Bluestone Lane’s premium offerings.

You will work with a team on the café floor, maintain a clean, efficient workspace, and ensure orders are accurate and timely under pressure while delivering friendly, personalized service.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience as a server or in sales.
• Minimum one-year experience in a customer service/food industry environment.
• DOH accredited or SafeServe certification preferred.
• Passion for providing excellent service and making customers happy.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with locals using clear, enthusiastic language and body language.
• Contributes to a positive team environment and delivers exceptional experiences.
• Follows Steps of Service and maintains professional composure during high-volume periods.
• Upsells food and beverages and educates customers about the menu.
• Ensures accurate, efficient order placement with back-of-house to meet 10-minute food placement targets.
• Keeps dining area organized, hygienic and well-stocked, while following safety procedures.
