Job summary

Southern Glazer’s Beverage Company of Massachusetts and Rhode Island is seeking a Sales Representative to cover Worcester, Shrewsbury and surrounding MA territory. You will expand market share by building relationships with bars, restaurants, and retailers, presenting engaging tastings and promotions, and collaborating with credit and sales teams to drive revenue.

The role requires strong communication, knowledge of wines, a willingness to travel, and a 21+ background in beverage sales.

Qualifications

Experience in alcohol sales or hospitality or supplier community preferred.
WSET or similar certifications preferred.
Bachelor degree in Business or related field.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain relationships with customers (bars, restaurants, liquor stores) providing exemplary service.
Develop, present and promote sales strategies and activities (tastings / demonstrations) that showcase our products.
Answer customers’ questions about products, pricing, availability and uses.
Review customers’ credit status, collect monies owed and partner with Credit to ensure accounts remain in good standing.
Participate in sales meetings, trainings and trade events to maintain product and supplier knowledge.
Create sell sheets and sales presentations using MS Office.
Maintain knowledge of technology to support selling and supplier strategies.
