Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with State regulations)
• Ability to convey information clearly.
• Ability to evaluate alternatives quickly and accurately.
• Ability to work well in stressful, high pressure situations.
• Effective listening to coworkers and guests.
• Ability to understand financial information and basic arithmetic.
• Maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Maintain regular attendance according to hotel standards and varying schedules.
• Maintain professional appearance and wear required uniform and name tag.
• Comply with Avion Hospitality standards for safe and efficient operations.
• Meet certification requirements applicable to the position (Alcohol Awareness, Food handlers, Safety, etc.).
• Maintain a warm, friendly demeanor at all times.
• Perform preparatory tasks to ensure prompt and efficient service.
• Read Banquet Event Orders and be familiar with menus for assigned functions.
• Serve guests per hotel standards in a courteous and professional manner.
• Address guest problems or complaints and escalate when needed.
• Be familiar with hotel policies and safety rules.
• Maintain organized banquet storage and restock supplies.
• Clear banquet space after events and store equipment properly.
• Be attentive, helpful, and courteous to guests and staff.
• Understand hotel organization and department functions.
• Handle Lost and Found items per standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned and attend meetings.
