Job summary

IRVING INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT seeks a licensed teacher to deliver high-quality instruction in the core subjects. The role requires planning engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and collaborating with staff to support diverse learners and compliant instructional practices.

The successful candidate will be able to implement TEA guidelines, manage classroom behavior, and integrate technology to enhance student outcomes in a dynamic school setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and Texas teaching certificate for the subject/level assigned.
• ESL supplemental certification preferred.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
• Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement curriculum plans for the assigned subject.
• Present content aligning with TEA guidelines and district policies.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction using data from assessments.
• Coordinate with staff to support IEPs and 504 plans as needed.
• Use technology to enhance instruction and learning outcomes.
• Establish classroom routines that promote a positive learning environment.
