Job summary

IRVING INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking a Teacher to provide engaging instruction across core subjects in a 187-day academic year. You will report to the Campus Principal and work to help students grow intellectually, socially, and emotionally in a dynamic classroom setting.

The role requires a valid Texas teaching certificate, a bachelor’s degree, and the ability to integrate technology into lessons. This is an in-person, exempt exempt position with local funding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and valid Texas teaching certificate for the subject/level assigned.
• Completion of Texas Reading Academy required for Elementary.
• ESL certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement curriculum plans aligned to TEA guidelines.
• Present subject matter with adherence to district policies and regulations.
• Use data to plan instructional strategies and accommodate diverse learners.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Manage classroom environment and supervise aides/volunteers.
• Employ technology to enhance teaching and learning.
