Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate for subject/level assigned.
• Completion of Texas Reading Academy required for Elementary.
• ESL Supplemental Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement plans for the curriculum program assigned and show written evidence of preparation as required.
• Present the subject matter according to guidelines established by TEA, board policies, and regulations.
• Use data to plan and implement instructional strategies, accommodations for diverse learners, and appropriate materials.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs and district requirements.
• Plan and supervise classroom activities and support teacher aides/volunteers as needed.
• Utilize technology to enhance teaching and learning.
