Job summary

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and a valid Texas teaching certificate; Elementary settings require Texas Reading Academy completion, with ESL certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Texas teaching certificate valid for subject/level assigned.
• Completion of Texas Reading Academy required for Elementary.
• ESL Supplemental Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement plans for the curriculum program assigned and show written evidence of preparation as required.
• Present the subject matter according to guidelines established by TEA, board policies, and administrative regulations.
• Access and use available data to plan and implement instructional strategies reflecting individual needs.
• Work cooperatively with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Cooperate with staff to plan and implement instructional goals and methods.
• Plan and supervise assignments for aides/volunteers.
• Use technology to strengthen and enhance teaching and learning.
