Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks an Early Childhood Co-Teacher to support Tier 1 instruction for Prekindergarten to Grade 2 and targeted interventions. You will facilitate small groups, provide academic and social-emotional support, and collaborate with lead teachers to help every student master learning goals.

Responsibilities include assisting with student records, supporting core instruction, and engaging families with progress updates.

Qualifications

• Education: At least 48 college hours or bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year educational institution required
• Experience: 1+ year(s) of experience working with children in a classroom or volunteer setting

Responsibilities

• Assist in the educational development of students under the direction and guidance of the classroom teachers
• Assist classroom teachers with maintaining student records
• Support Tier 1 core instruction under the direction of the lead teacher, ensuring all students can access grade-level learning
• Actively facilitate small-group instruction and intervention groups based on student data and teacher planning
• Monitor student learning and needs during instruction and provide feedback and support
• Communicate students’ progress with student and family on a weekly basis
• Implement a clear and consistent behavior management system that aligns to campus-wide initiatives
• Help shape school-wide culture that fosters productive learning environments
