Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking an Early Childhood Co-Teacher to support Tier 1 instruction for Prekindergarten through Grade 2 under the guidance of the lead teacher. You will facilitate small-group learning and provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional supports to help every student achieve mastery.

Work includes collaboration with lead teachers, maintaining records, and participating in weekly meetings.

Qualifications

• Education: At least 48 college hours required or bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year educational institution required
• Experience: 1+ year(s) of experience working with children in a classroom or volunteer setting

Responsibilities

• Assist in the educational development of students under the direction of classroom teachers
• Assist with maintaining student records
• Support Tier 1 core instruction under the lead teacher
• Facilitate small-group instruction and intervention groups based on student data
• Monitor student learning and provide feedback and support
• Communicate students' progress with students and families weekly
• Implement consistent behavior management aligned to campus initiatives
• Foster a positive school culture and collaborative environment
• Engage in weekly meetings and after-school duties as required
• Participate in district and school learning activities and development
