Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking Early Childhood Co-Teachers to support Tier 1 instruction for Prekindergarten through Grade 2 and targeted interventions under the lead teacher. You will facilitate small-group learning, provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional supports, and help create joyful, engaging classrooms where every student can thrive.

Collaborate closely with lead teachers to ensure students receive the necessary support to achieve mastery and develop a love of learning.

Qualifications

• Education: At least 48 college hours required or bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year educational institution.
• Experience: 1+ year working with children in a classroom or volunteer setting.
• Knowledge: Basic knowledge of early childhood development and instructional practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the educational development of students under the direction of classroom teachers.
• Assist classroom teachers with maintaining student records.
• Support Tier 1 core instruction under the lead teacher, ensuring grade-level access.
• Facilitate small-group instruction and intervention groups based on student data.
