Job summary

Skanska is seeking a dynamic Project Engineer to join the on-site Project Management Team. You will handle contract setup, submittals, assist with bid packages, change orders, and assist with project scheduling while collaborating with clients and internal teams.

Candidates should have 1–3 years of experience with RFIs and reading plans, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering (or 8 years of equivalent experience).

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years reading drawings and technical specifications for submittals.
  • 1–3 years experience with project close out.

The Project Engineer works on-site within the Project Management Team and is responsible for contract setup, submittals, assisting with the bid package process, change orders and assisting with the scheduling of the project. The Project Management Team can vary greatly depending on the size and complexity of the projects, which in turn will affect the number of responsibilities the Project Engineer will be involved in. The Project Engineer must be a flexible and adaptable team-player, as well as have strong communication and client service skills.

Project Engineer Required Qualifications:
  • 1-3 Years of experience creating documentation such as RFIs, and client correspondence on issues related to the notification provisions in contracts.
  • 1-3 years of reading and understanding construction plans and drawings and the technical specifications associated with drawings. Able to outline specifications required for submission to clients and ensure submittals and shop drawings are approved.
  • 1-3 years experience with project close out.
  • Bachelor’s Degree – Construction Management, Engineering, or similar or 8 years of equivalent experience

Salary Low

USD $68,425.00/Yr.

Salary High

USD $98,000.00/Yr.
