Job summary

Ryan Companies US, Inc. is seeking a Preconstruction Manager II to join our Austin team on-site.

The role involves working with development and construction teams to build conceptual and detailed estimates, performing quantity take-offs, and soliciting subcontractor pricing for budgets and bids. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Management and 5–10 years of experience in commercial construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architectural or Management.
• 5–10 years of proven experience in the commercial construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity take-offs of all construction systems.
• Solicit subcontractor pricing for budgeting and bid proposals.
• Scope and select subcontractors based on best value and project requirements.
• Record final estimates and maintain cost history.
• Support the development, design, and construction team with preconstruction expertise.
• Train Precon Engineers and Project Management staff.
• Provide direction for understanding project scope, market pricing, and available resources.
• Assist clients and developers with conceptual budgets and cost modeling.
