Job summary

Amazon's Global Engineering Services NA Design & Construction team seeks a Preconstruction Manager to lead cross-functional, owner’s-representative preconstruction for industrial facilities across the region. You’ll drive scope, budgets, and schedules from site selection through design completion, permitting, and contract execution, partnering with internal and external teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree requirement and related field.
• 5+ years PM experience in design/construction.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage preconstruction projects from site selection through design completion, permitting, and contract execution.
• Lead site validation, scope development, and design management, coordinating with design teams to meet standards.
• Manage multiple concurrent large industrial projects across various locations.
• Keep scope under control and drive decisions, clearing blockers and escalating when needed.
• Identify and resolve upstream issues to support a clean handoff to the Construction Manager.
• Assess project performance through KPIs for safety, quality, cost, schedule and sustainability.
• Prepare and present budgets, schedules and risk reports to leadership.
