Job summary

T&G Constructors is a Florida-based construction management and general contracting firm seeking an experienced Estimator to join our preconstruction team in Orlando, FL. This role focuses on takeoffs, bid analysis, and contributing to detailed and conceptual estimates.

You will review project details, solicit and evaluate subcontractors, and support GMP proposals while collaborating with owners and design teams to maximize value and minimize risk.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of estimating experience in the construction industry.
• Proficient in takeoff and estimating software systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs and cost breakdowns.
• Review project details with coordinators to ensure solicitation and coverage from the proper subcontractors.
• Assist in subcontractor bid solicitation and evaluation.
• Identify and resolve design conflicts and missing information.
• Prepare scope comparison sheets and bid tabs.
• Support preparation of GMP proposals and cost narratives.
• Work collaboratively with internal preconstruction, operations team members as well as Owner and design team members.
