Job summary

T&G Constructors, a Florida-based construction management and general contracting firm, is seeking an estimator to support the preconstruction team with takeoffs, subcontractor proposals, and detailed cost estimates.

With 3–7 years of estimating experience and proficiency in takeoff and estimating software, you will help analyze projects, prepare GMP cost narratives, and collaborate with owners, design teams, and internal staff to deliver competitive, accurate bids.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of estimating experience within the construction industry.
• Proficient in takeoff and estimating software systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs and cost breakdowns.
• Review project details with coordinators to ensure solicitation and coverage from the proper subcontractors.
• Assist in subcontractor bid solicitation and evaluation.
• Identify and resolve design conflicts and missing information.
• Prepare scope comparison sheets and bid tabs.
• Support preparation of GMP proposals and cost narratives.
• Work collaboratively with internal preconstruction, operations team members as well as Owner and design team members.

Position Summary
