Job summary

Jobot is seeking an entry-level Preconstruction professional to support the St. Louis team in delivering accurate estimates and organized bids.

This role provides mentorship from seasoned preconstruction managers and estimators, with hands-on training to quickly grow skills in take-offs, cost data tracking, and bid package preparation. The candidate will gain exposure to design reviews, constructability analysis, and client meetings while developing proficiency in Excel and estimating software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in construction, 1+ year of experience in estimating.
• Strong desire to learn and build a career in preconstruction.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; exposure to estimating software is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity take-offs under the supervision of Preconstruction Managers and Estimators.
• Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and bid packages.
• Conduct subcontractor outreach and collect bid information.
• Support design reviews, constructability analysis, and cost data tracking.
• Participate in client and design team meetings as appropriate.
• Learn company systems, processes, and standards through hands-on training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
