You will perform lab tasks with minimal supervision, handle small animals, administer drug treatments, measure tumors, maintain colonies, and ensure quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a relevant scientific field or two years of relevant experience.
• Certification may be required by department or core protocol within one year of hire.
• Critical thinking and decisive judgment with ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow experimental protocols.
• Prepare and operate equipment for experiments and assays.
• Maintain laboratory inventories and logs; order materials as necessary.
• Record work accurately and communicate data to Core leadership or internal customers.
• Support execution and facilitation of specialized services; maintain SOPs and equipment.
• Abide by all institute, sponsor and federal rules and regulations.
