Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus is seeking a Laboratory Manager to provide technical and scientific leadership for Core Laboratory operations, overseeing day-to-day activities, personnel, testing processes, and the accurate and timely reporting of results. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science or medical technology.
• 5 years of clinical laboratory training or experience in high complexity testing.
• 3 years of clinical laboratory management or supervisory experience.
• ASCP qualifications or equivalent education and training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Verify test procedures and establish performance characteristics and accuracy.
• Enroll in and monitor proficiency testing programs per CLSI/CLIA standards.
• Establish QC parameters and maintain analytic performance throughout testing.
• Resolve technical and operational problems and ensure corrective actions.
• Ensure patient results are reported only after proper actions and checks.
• Identify training needs and ensure ongoing staff competency assessments.
• Evaluate competency and ensure staff maintain testing responsibilities.
