Job summary

GPD Optoelectronics Corp. is expanding its manufacturing team in Salem, NH. The Wire Bonder will perform wire bonding and assembly of optoelectronic components in a cleanroom, supporting production with inspection and basic electrical testing.

The role reports to the Director of Operations and requires precision, adherence to ESD and cleanroom protocols, and teamwork to meet schedules and quality goals in a full-time, on-site setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical trade training.
• Experience in a manufacturing or technical environment.
• Wire bonding experience preferred.
• Able to work under a microscope and handle small, delicate components.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and semi- automated wire bonding of chips and die to ceramic substrates and packages (e.g., TO can, LCC) using various gauges of wire.
• Prep material, set up, and operate wire bond equipment per approved work instructions and travelers.
• Handle optoelectronic devices using proper ESD, cleanliness, and contamination control techniques.
• Support engineering builds, process development, and continuous improvement activities as needed.
• Conduct visual inspection of assemblies under microscope to MIL STD883 criteria and perform go/no-go testing.
• Maintain production records, travelers, and inspection results in the ERP system and shop floor interface.
