Job summary

Dover Hydraulics, a SunSource company, seeks an experienced welder for on-site fabrication and repair. You will read blueprints, select welding methods, and set up components for welding across multiple positions.

Responsibilities include welding, aligning parts, repairing machinery, and testing finished welds while maintaining safety standards. A high school diploma and apprenticeship are required, AWS cert is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Proven welding experience with TIG/MIG processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Knowledge of safety standards and protective gear.
• Apprenticeship completion preferred; AWS cert a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings to plan layout and procedures.
• Select welding equipment and methods per requirements.
• Set up components for welding per specifications.
• Operate grinders to finish weld prep.
• Align and clamp parts; weld in various positions.
• Repair machinery by welding and filling gaps.
• Test welding surfaces for flaws; ensure safety compliance.
