Job summary

Dover Hydraulics, a SunSource company, seeks a skilled welder to read blueprints, select materials, and plan welding layouts for hydraulic components. You will set up welds to specifications and collaborate with the Machine Shop manager to determine the best course of action.

Day shift, full-time on-site in Dover, OH. Candidates should have a High School diploma, welding experience (TIG/MIG), and ability to read technical drawings.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and drawings and take measurements to plan layout and procedures.
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
• Set up components for welding according to specifications.
• Operate grinders to prepare parts for welding.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions.
• Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures for flaws.
• Maintain equipment to ensure safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
• Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces

• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
