Job summary

Responsibilities include reading drawings, selecting welding methods, performing precise measurements, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years welding experience; GTAW (TIG) preferred or 6 months vocational training.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints.
• Knowledge of safety standards and use of protective gear.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to use shop tools.
• Understanding welding fixtures.
• Must read calipers, micrometers and height gauge.
• Overtime and weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and measurements to weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions.
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
• Set up components for welding per specifications and match measurements.
• Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding.
• Ensure quality using calipers, micrometers and height gauge; clamp pieces.
• Repair and maintain equipment and machinery safely.
• Test welded surfaces and inspect structures for flaws.
• Follow safety protocols and work safely and efficiently.
