Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a skilled welder for a full-time position in Louisiana. You will lay out, align, and weld fabricated components per blueprints, assembling machinery frames, tanks, and piping systems.

The role requires proficiency in multiple welding processes and the ability to read plans, perform basic math, and work in several positions. Candidates should be capable of manual welding, joint prep, and post-weld cleaning while maintaining safety standards and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; related experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, plan layouts, and perform basic math.
• Traditional and advanced welding techniques applied to piping, tanks, shells, frames, and structures.

Responsibilities

• Set up welding equipment and select process per procedure.
• Lay out, align, and weld components according to blueprints.
• Weld in multiple positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead).
• Prepare and clean weld joints; inspect bead size and quality.
• Operate welding equipment and inspect materials for compliance.
• Follow safety and project rules; pass required certifications.
