Job summary

Z Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, is hiring a Welder for our on-site role in Killeen, TX. You will fabricate metal components for modular building systems, using MIG, TIG, and arc welding, following precise specifications and safety standards.

The job requires reading blueprints, measuring parts, and collaborating with production teams. The position is full-time, onsite with a daytime shift, and emphasizes craftsmanship, problem solving, and teamwork in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years welding experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or construction environments.
• Welding certificate preferred.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Strong knowledge of welding processes, tools, and materials.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret weld symbols accurately.
• Skilled in using measuring tools; able to add and subtract fractions.
• Committed to workplace safety and PPE requirements.
• Excellent balance, hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Capable of lifting up to 80 lbs and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Welds components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Lays out, positions, aligns, and secures parts using measuring tools and fixtures.
• Examines workpieces and verifies conformance to specs with precision devices.
• Welds aluminum, stainless steel, and cast iron.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and work orders to plan welding operations.
• Maintains safe work practices in line with OSHA standards.
