Job summary

Z Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking a skilled Welder for our on-site operation in Killeen, TX. You will fabricate metal components for modular building systems, using MIG, TIG, and arc welding while ensuring adherence to drawings, specs, and safety standards.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma and at least 3 years welding experience in manufacturing or construction. A welding certificate is preferred; you must read blueprints, measure parts, and maintain PPE

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of welding experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or construction environments.
• Welding certificate preferred.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Strong working knowledge of welding processes, tools, and materials.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret weld symbols accurately.
• Skilled in using measuring tools; able to add and subtract fractions.
• Committed to workplace safety and PPE requirements.
• Excellent balance, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity.
• Capable of lifting up to 80 lbs and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Welds components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Lays out, positions, aligns, and secures parts using measuring tools and fixtures.
• Examines workpieces and verifies conformance to specifications using precision measuring devices.
• Welds aluminum, stainless steel, and cast iron as required.
• Clamps, tacks, and grinds parts to achieve required configurations before final welding.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, work orders, and specifications to plan welding operations.
• Operates MIG, TIG, and arc welding equipment.
• Develops templates and models based on engineering drawings for fabrication.
• Maintains safe work practices and onsite attendance as required.
