Job summary

Qualifications

Reads mechanical blueprints and fabrication drawings to determine requirements.
Follows AWS welding standards (MIG/TIG/FCAW/SMAW) during production.
Uses calipers, micrometers, and hand tools for precise cuts and welds.
Experience with sheet metal fabrication and mechanical fabrication processes.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine project requirements.
Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and SMAW welding per AWS standards.
Use calipers, micrometers, and power tools to ensure precise cuts and welds.
Fabricate components from sheet metal and structural steel; plasma cut, shape, and assemble parts.
Operate shop equipment like plasma cutters and machining tools following safety protocols.
Measure and mark materials using shop math to meet specs.
Collaborate with team on-site or in shop to complete tasks on schedule.
Maintain a clean, safe work environment by following safety guidelines.
