Job summary

Automatic Handling International, Inc. seeks an experienced welder to fabricate large structures for custom machines. You will prepare steel, interpret blueprints, drill and tap holes, and weld with precision to produce high‑quality assemblies.

Requirements include 2+ years of welding, math proficiency, tool ownership, and ability to weld in 1G position. Expect a clean shop, team problem‑solving, and a competitive compensation package based on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years welding experience.
• Strong math skills including fractions and decimals.
• Proficient with Windows PCs.
• Own basic hand tools and welder gear.
• Able to weld in 1G position manually.
• Compensation based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform GMAW (Mig).
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Operate jig saw, belt sander, band saw, and various other power tools.
• Operate a 4.5- and 7-inch angle grinder.
• Operate Matobo cut-off wheel.
• Operate 5- and 10-ton overhead cranes and other industrial equipment.
• Perform oxy-fuel cutting and plasma torching.
• Identify potential problems with designs and work with engineers to find a solution
• Clean work area at end of shift
