Job summary

Wells Concrete Products, Inc. in Texas is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to assemble, fit, and weld metal components per blueprints and specs. You will operate fabrication equipment and perform finishing tasks to support efficient production.

The ideal candidate has three years welding/fabrication experience, can read drawings, and uses precision measuring tools. The role is based at our manufacturing site and offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Three years welding/fabrication experience required.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
• Ability to use measuring devices, such as calipers and tape measures.

Responsibilities

• Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form units using blueprints, jigs, and hand tools.
• Study engineering drawings to determine material requirements and sequence.
• Move, lift, and position materials using cranes, hoists, or manual handling.
• Lay out, mark, and verify workpieces with calipers and tape measures.
• Tack-weld, cut, grind, and prepare components to meet specs.
• Operate brakes, shears, rollers, drill presses, grinders, and torches.
• Straighten, shape, and adjust metal parts with hammers and hand tools.
• Set up jigs and fixtures for accurate assembly.
• Inspect finished work to meet quality and dimensional standards.
