Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components according to detailed technical drawings and specifications. Responsibilities

• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine project requirements.
• Perform various welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards.
• Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, power tools, and other hand tools to ensure precise cuts and welds.
• Fabricate metal components from sheet metal, structural steel, and other metal materials through cutting, shaping, plasma cutting, machining, and assembly processes.
• Operate fabrication shop equipment including plasma cutters, power tools, and machining tools while adhering to all safety protocols.
• Measure and mark materials accurately using shop math skills to meet project specifications.
• Collaborate with team members on construction site projects or within the fabrication shop to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and procedures at all times.

Requirements

• Proven construction site experience or fabrication shop experience with metal materials.
• Proficiency in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret mechanical blueprints accurately.
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to operate measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers.
• Experience working with sheet metal fabrication and mechanical fabrication processes.
• Familiarity with construction experience including assembly on-site or in-shop fabrication projects.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding operations and construction environments.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
• Competence in using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, machining equipment, and measuring instruments effectively.Ability to adhere to AWS standards for welding quality and safety compliance.
