Technique is seeking a Tube Bending Technician in Jackson, Michigan to operate CNC and manual tube bending equipment, read blueprints, and set up and inspect parts. The role involves tooling maintenance, part programming, and working independently in a manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of related machine operating experience in metal forming and 2+ years in fabrication/machining, with CAD/CAM knowledge a plus; fit for lifting 50+ pounds and standard shop conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or preferred
• At least 1 year of related machine operating experience in metal forming
• 2+ years in solid metal fabrication or machining environment preferred
• Manual or CNC tube bending experience highly desired
• Must read and interpret blueprints
• Proficient in using measuring tools to inspect parts
• Basic CAD/CAM training/knowledge a plus
• Experience with manual machines (drill press, mill, lathe, grinder) is a plus
• Ability to lift/move items over 50 lb
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; E-Verify employer

Responsibilities

• Start up and shut down benders and run set-up machines
• Maintain bender tooling and perform weekly preventive maintenance
• Read blueprints and set up parts to fixtures
• Understand part geometry and centerline radius
• Create part inspection programs by importing coordinates and tolerances
• Inspect parts and recall programs
• Check drop dimensions and fixture alignment
• Operate saws (cold and chop) to cut blanks
• Operate the I/O End Former
• Possess ability to work independently and follow directions
• Set up, program, and develop single stack tool jobs on the BLM bender unassisted
