Job summary

D&N Bending Corporation in Michigan seeks an experienced CNC Tube Bending Operator / Setup Technician to support prototype and production manufacturing. This hands-on role requires machine setup, program optimization, and defect troubleshooting to deliver high-quality, precision-formed components for automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.

You will interpret blueprints and GD&T, perform first-piece validation, and collaborate with engineering to refine bending processes while maintaining tight

Qualifications

3+ years of CNC tube bending experience, with setup preferred.
Experience with rotary draw bending and mandrel bending.
Ability to read blueprints and GD&T to ensure part accuracy.
Experience with springback compensation and bend sequence adjustments.

Responsibilities

Perform full machine setup and changeovers on CNC tube bending equipment.
Load, edit, and optimize CNC bending programs.
Interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements for accuracy.
Conduct first piece validation and adjust as needed.
Troubleshoot bending defects such as wrinkling, distortion, or flattening.
Support continuous improvement in cycle time, scrap reduction, and quality.
