The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, strong math and data-entry skills, and experience with scale systems.

Qualifications

• Proficient written and verbal communication to interact professionally with customers, drivers, and internal personnel.
• Basic mathematical skills to perform weight, pricing, and transaction calculations.
• Proficiency in computer operations including Microsoft Office and data entry functions.
• Ability to learn and operate scale management software systems.
• Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.

Responsibilities

• Weighs loaded trucks on the facility scale and enters weight data accurately.
• Processes walk-in customer orders and coordinates delivery with dispatch.
• Relays current pricing and ensures accurate rate data is communicated.
• Accepts and reconciles payments and completes COD reports.
• Maintains organized records of tickets, documents, and transaction reports.
• Documents safety records and maintains compliance with MSHA standards.
• Monitors workload and communicates issues to supervision; performs other duties as assigned.
