Job summary

Kleiss High Precision, based in Grantsburg, Wisconsin, is seeking a Tool Maker to build, repair and maintain injection molding tools. You will set up tooling, adjust configurations, and work to tight tolerances in a fast-paced shop environment.

The ideal candidate has a technical degree in Tool Making or equivalent, CAM/CNC experience, and hands-on EDM tool experience. ISO 9001 quality procedures and a commitment to safety are expected.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in Tool Making or equivalent education and experience (Essential)
• CAM and/or CNC experience (Desired)
• Experience operating EDM equipment (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Build, revise, and repair injection tools to required tolerances and standards.
• Change tool configurations per production schedule requirements.
• Set up, operate, and maintain tool shop equipment.
• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble tools per maintenance schedules and specifications.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain workspace to required safety and organizational standards.
• Hands-on experience with tool building and repair, including injection molding tools.
• Precision & Quality: meet tight tolerances and quality specifications.
• Problem Solving: root cause analysis and resolution of tooling issues.
• Equipment Proficiency: experience with CNC and EDM machines (preferred).
• Workplace Discipline: maintain clean, organized, and safe work environment.
