Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal apprenticeship program or equivalent experience preferred
5+ years of experience as a Tool Maker in a manufacturing environment
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Strong knowledge of milling, turning, grinding, and EDM machining processes
Experience using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
Ability to work independently and troubleshoot tooling issues

Responsibilities

Sets up and operates conventional and CNC machines.
Interprets blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to determine dimensions and tolerances.
Fabricates, modifies, and repairs a variety of tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
Selects appropriate materials, tools, and machining methods for each project.
Performs precision measurements using inspection equipment.
Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to tool performance and manufacturing processes.
Maintains and sharpens cutting tools to ensure optimal performance.
