CANPACK Group is seeking a tooling and measurement technician responsible for data collection, calibration, tool inspection, and maintaining quality systems in a manufacturing environment. Commitment to safety and ISO/SQF guidelines is essential. The position involves coordinating with Production to optimize tooling consumption, maintain stock levels, and support internal audits.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, compile, measure, summarize and record data gathered during measuring.
  • Calibrate inspection, measurement, and test equipment to ensure compliance with published specifications.
  • Inspect and evaluate tools to identify defects.
  • Track and report tool life and cost based on consumption and production records.
  • Perform laboratory housekeeping.
  • Maintain laboratory recognition / accreditation.
  • Issue and record exchange of tools.
  • Co-operate with Production Department to optimise tooling consumption and reduce spoilage.
  • Monitor quantity and quality parameters related to tool condition; report low stock.
  • Maintain tool stock levels, manage rotation and polishing supervision.
  • Collect and archive technical parameters.
  • Review tools for quality; license for production.
  • Assist with implementation and maintenance of systems, including internal audits.
  • Comply with Health & Safety regulations and ISO/SQF guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as required.
