Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Tooling and Gauge Technician in the Charlotte, NC area to support machining and assembly by ensuring tooling, gauges, and fixtures are organized, calibrated, and ready for production. You will collaborate with production, quality, and purchasing teams to improve efficiency, product quality, and overall operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• 1+ years in machine shop/manufacturing with tooling and precision measurement.
• Experience with micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges and calibration processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize tooling, gauges, and fixtures for safe storage and access.
• Issue, receive, inspect, and prepare tooling and gauge kits for machining operations.
• Track gauge calibration schedules and coordinate calibration activities to ensure quality.
• Perform CMM inspections and verify production parts against drawings and specs.
• Conduct tooling inventory audits and support procurement of new equipment.
• Participate in 5S and continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and safety.
