Job summary

US Conec, Ltd. is hiring a Tooling Technician to inspect molds, dies, and tooling components before production release. You’ll verify dimensional accuracy, document results, and coordinate with Tooling, Engineering, and suppliers to resolve quality issues.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, GD&T, and using precision measurement tools. Strong attention to detail and cross-functional collaboration are essential for continuous improvement in our manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Quality, Metrology, or related field.
• 2–5 years in tooling inspection, quality inspection, metrology, or manufacturing quality.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T.
• Experience developing inspection plans and acceptance criteria.
• Proficiency with precision measurement equipment and data recording.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.
• Effective cross-functional communication and collaboration

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspection and acceptance of molds, dies, and tooling components.
• Assign tooling serial numbers; maintain traceability and inventory.
• Verify dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and conformance to drawings.
• Identify non-conformances and document them for corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Tooling, Engineering, and vendors to resolve quality issues.
• Develop inspection plans and conduct dimensional inspections.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain historical records.
• Support standardization of inspection procedures and metrology practices.
• Communicate results to internal stakeholders and suppliers
• Assist in root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
